"Before NovaVision everything was difficult such as reading, cooking, walking stairs, all the simple things. Now I have a new job, I ran my first marathon."

Welcome

  • This website provides a vision test for individuals who have suffered from a stroke or brain injury who wish to learn more about whether their vision has been impacted. While simpler than a diagnostic test available from physicians and hospitals, this vision test includes key elements of tests that might be used by a physician. We hope the results of your test can help you discuss your vision concerns with your physician.
  • You will receive test results after you view the instructions and perform a 3-5 minute vision test.
  • Please Note - This test does not take the place of a medical exam. It is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. It is not intended to affect the structure or any function of the human body.

Photosensitive Seizure Disorder

Have you ever been diagnosed with Photosensitive Seizure Disorder, or have you suffered a seizure in the last six months?

Photosensitive Seizure Warning

Light stimulation of the kind used in this vision test is not recommended for people with photogenic epilepsy or recent seizures. Since you responded that you have been diagnosed with photosensitive seizure disorder, it is recommended that you do not take this vision test. If you would like to take a vision test, we advise that you take one in the presence of a physician.

Initial Results

The graph shows your responses during the test. In every square, one light stimulus was presented. White squares on the graph show the areas where you responded to the light stimulus; black squares indicate the areas where you did not respond. The yellow square in the center represents the position of the fixation point.

Because your fixation score is lower than 70%, it is recommmended that you retake the test to verify your results.

Because your false positive score is greater than 8%, your responses were not precise or reliable, it is recommmended that you retake the test to verify your results.
